The Mojave is as strange as one hundred camels in the courtyard. As strange as it may be, it's just as beautiful. On our way through the arid landscape where the Joshua trees dominate we stop to harvest ancient creosote (one of the oldest living organisms on this planet) & desert wild flowers in dry washes. From there we head up into theJuniper-Pinn Woodlands and ascend intothe high desert where the ponderosa pines and white firs sit high in rocky canyons. This land, so vast& unforgiving, feels more like a familiar friend.
